We’ve lined up 6 of the hottest new bands and we’re giving one of them the chance to open this year’s V Festival. They’ll be competing for this prime festival slot at 2 Road to V gigs at the Carling Academy Islington on the 20th and 21st July.

Get your face on telly!
Each gig is being filmed by Channel 4 for three exclusive 15 minute shows on the 16th, 17th and 18th August. Not only can you get your 15 minutes of fame, but you can also vote for your favourite band by tuning in to watch 4Music.

You can also keep an eye on their progress by buying The Big Issue or visiting virginmobilelouder.com. We’ll announce the winning band on the 19th August, in time for the festival.

Flash your phone for free beer and kebabs
And the star treatment doesn’t stop there! Take your Virgin Mobile phone to the bar for a free beer or two. And when you’ve worked up a hunger, flash it again at the Virgin Mobile Kebab Emporium for some free food!

Last chance for V Festival tickets!
What’s more, we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away each night for this year’s V Festival. Tickets have sold out, but you can text the big screen on the night for your last chance to get your hands on them!

How do I get Road to V tickets?
To get your hands on tickets for the Road to V, text YES, plus your name, full postal address and the number of people you’d like to go, to 80150. Texts cost just 3p from a Virgin Mobile phone. We’ll send you a text if you’re one of the lucky winners.

Legal Stuff:
Tickets awarded on a first come first served basis. To apply for free ticket(s) text ‘Yes’, the number of tickets you want (up to a maximum of 4), the date you want to go (19th or 20th July) and your full postal address to 80150 from your Virgin Mobile phone (charged at 3p). Promoter doesn’t guarantee to provide you with the number of tickets requested. Entry constitutes your acceptance of this legal stuff. Open to Virgin Mobile customers as at 6th July aged 16 or over except employees of Promoter, their families or anyone else connected with this promotion. No additional purchase necessary. Incomplete texts or texts not sent from a Virgin Mobile phone will not be accepted.

There are 500 free tickets to each Virgin Mobile Road to V gigs at Carling Academy Islington on 20th and 21st July 05. Terms and conditions on tickets apply and the venue reserves the right to refuse entry. You’ll be notified by text if you’ve got tickets and, if so, the number of tickets awarded. Tickets will be dispatched by recorded post to address include in entry text to be delivered no later than 17th July 05. If gig is cancelled for any reason, Promoter will provide replacement tickets to a similar gig at the same venue within 6 months of the cancelled gig. Photographic proof of age may be required for entry to the gig or the purchase of alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks are not available to under 18’s. Prizes are not transferable. No cash alternatives. Travel to and from venue is not included.
